The Steiner 10x42 Tactical Military R Compact Surveillance Binoculars 650 has been developed as a compact roof prism military binocular incorporating the newly developed SUMR targeting reticle system. By building their universal reticle system into a 10x roof prism binocular, Steiner is able to offer the observer a smaller, rugged and light weight binocular in a power that matches the favored magnification used in many of the newer 10x military rifle scopes used by SWAT, Army, Air Force and Marine Corp. The reticle is based on the standard Mil System and can also be used to effectively accomplish observations, coordinate direct and indirect fire, close air support observations and delivery of PGM munitions.

New interference mirror technology combines traditional silver mirror technology with selected Dielectric Coatings to the Interference Mirrors. This new technology delivers greater light transmission, image contrast and pinpoint resolution than ever before.
