The ATN Mars 6x Gen.4 Night Vision Weapon Scope NVWSMRS640 features a Generation 4 auto-gated / filmless image intensifier tube, made to improve night operational effectiveness in dynamic lighting conditions such as those experienced, for example, in urban night operations. Named for the Roman God of War, ATN Generation 4 Night Vision Mars Riflescope is one of the most advanced pieces of Night Vision gear you can buy today. All of the lenses on the ATN 6x MARS Night Vision Riflescope are individually fitted and calibrated specifically to perform optimally. This ATN Riflescope features only the most pure grades of heavy glass and computer-aided optical designs that create a high-speed, multi-coated lens with multiple elements for ultra-clear light transmission and resolution that rises above the current standard set by the military.

The Filmless micro channel plate used in the ATN MARS NV Scope provides a higher Signal-to-Noise Ratio than standard Gen. 3, resulting in better image quality under low-light conditions. An Autogated power supply further improves image resolution under high light conditions and a reduced "Halo" effect that minimizes interference from bright light sources. The 4th Gen. Autogated/Filmless IITs have a typical resolution of 64-72 lp/mm and a minimum Signal-to-Noise Ratio of 24.
