Heat Seekers

A Heat Seeker detects very small differences in temperature between the object you are searching for and the surrounding average temperature over the previous four seconds. The difference in temperature between the surroundings and the target is called "the gain". Calibration of the gain, or the number of degrees of temperature difference between the object and its surroundings, is set by pressing the gain button up or down until you reach the desired setting.
